Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk
Job Description:
This position will assist the controllers in data entry into our accounting software system. Some tasks may include, but aren’t limited to:
- Processing accounts payable invoices and filing daily.
- Assist in billings and cash receipts on a basis.
- Process A/P checks weekly.
- Set-up new jobs in the accounting system.
- Create job folders for new projects and file pertinent information during all phases of the job.
- Track missing information for job files
- Month end bank reconciliations
- Review credit card receipts, reconcile credit card statements and prepare for general ledger entry.
- Assists with general accounting data entry and other projects as assigned.
- Communicates with co-workers, management, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner. Maintain a culture of customer service, professionalism and respect for co-workers.
- Conforms and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions; and conforms to all safety rules and use of appropriate safety equipment.
- Must be self-motivated and work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.

Minimum Years of Experience Required: A degree in accounting/bookkeeping or working towards a degree in accounting/bookkeeping.
Minimum Years of Education Required: Preferred 2 years of A/P experience. Spreadsheet, software, and hardware proficient. Excellent organizational, time-management, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, with problem solving skills to ensure accuracy. Excellent computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems.
